Fire and Smoke Damage Support Services

Every fire loss is different, and the services required depend on the size and source of the damage. Along with controlled demolition and contents inventory, your property may need advanced solutions such as hydro blasting, soda blasting, or ice blasting.

Contents Inventory & Packout

Some situations require belongings and furnishings to be inventoried, packed, and transported to a secure, climate-controlled facility. Our technicians handle all personal items with extreme care to ensure they’re fully protected.

Hydro Blasting

Using specialized equipment delivering up to 40,000 PSI, hydro blasting effectively removes soot and fire residue from affected surfaces throughout your property.

Soda Blasting

Soda blasting uses compressed air to apply fine baking soda particles to surfaces, gently removing soot and buildup without harming the underlying structure.

Ice Blasting

Dry ice blasting propels solid carbon dioxide pellets at high speeds to lift soot and contaminants from surfaces without causing damage.

Controlled Demolition

Based on the severity of the fire damage, controlled demolition may be required to clean hidden areas behind walls or above ceilings.

We recommend avoiding any DIY cleaning without consulting a fire restoration professional. Proper testing, correct cleaning agents, deodorization methods, and precise dilution ratios are essential to prevent further damage and ensure safe results.

Safety is our top priority. During the initial inspection, hazards such as debris, air quality issues, electrical risks, and slip or trip dangers are identified and addressed. Damaged electrical items are removed or tagged, and power may remain off until cleared by a licensed electrician.

Do not operate your HVAC system until it has been inspected and approved by an HVAC professional.

Depending on the type and extent of fire damage, contents may need to be moved to a secure facility for cleaning, storage, and restoration access. ServiceMaster by Glenn’s coordinates this process through our inventory and packout services, working closely with your insurance provider.

Certain high-value or sensitive items may require specialized restoration. We work with your insurance representative to identify these items and connect you with qualified restoration specialists.

This decision is up to you. Factors to consider include safety, odors, electrical access, and equipment noise. If you temporarily relocate, consider forwarding mail, pausing deliveries, and notifying utility and service providers.

Yes. With advance notice, we can arrange access to stored items with a restoration technician present. A service fee may apply.

Our technicians use Encircle Software to document and track all contents removed from the affected areas and stored securely.

Before work begins, authorization forms must be signed by all responsible parties. For insurance claims, we typically collect the deductible and bill the remaining balance directly to your insurance company. If the claim is not covered or you choose not to file, full payment is due at the time of service.
